Neat and clean seats & well-behaved caterers

Oct 2, 2014
Mode of Transport: Train

Started in the cool breeze atmosphere from Pune and reached the station half an hour before. Fortunately train came on time. Cleanliness was the major factor which always inspires me to travel again and again in the same train.

I travelled in sleeper coach and the good thing was that seats were neat and clean. Toilets were cleaned and water was available in the lavatories too.

Caterers are well behaved and were coming on time to time with nice fast food items. As train reached Daund Junction, my favourite vada pav came. Itís very delicious. One must try eating this.

I really enjoyed travelling.

A memorable trip of my life

Sep 29, 2014
Mode of Transport: Train

It started with 12 classmates and started from Miraj Junction via Banglore Rajdhani. Train was on time and service in the train was good. Enjoy with fun games and with chaiwalas. We had South Indian food which was awesome. It was the most memorable journey of my life.

January is the best season to travel

Nov 13, 2013
Mode of Transport: Train

It is a long journey from Jabalpur to Bangalore but there are nice things to see such as Chennai beach on the way from the train. Overall nice journey. Chennai beach is special about the destination. Kachiguda is different from other places and January is the right time or season to holiday there. I suggest travellers that it is a nice time to travel.

Little boring journey

Nov 11, 2013
Mode of Transport: Train

Little boring journey, still you can relax for these many hours or spend time in reading, rail contractors in AC compartment are not so good. Sheets and towels are not clean and hygienic, house keeping is poor, 2AC little better about house keeping but same in hygienic towels and sheets. Food is big trouble since no pantry car.

Pantry car in Sampark Kranti

Nov 11, 2013
Mode of Transport: Train

We travelled by Karnataka Sampark Kranti Express from Yeshwantpur to Pune on Tue 5th Nov.13. by AC 3 Tier express.rnrnThe journey was punctual and comfortable. In fact the train arrived at Pune 20 mins before time and had to wait at the outer signal for a platform.rnrnThe 3AC compartment we travelled in B1 was a new compartment made in Oct.13. It was clean and had a bio digester in the toilet and jet spray in the toilet which is very useful for sr. citizens. The charging points were in good working condition. The lights were bright and useful for reading in the evenings. The beds provided were clean and comfortable. The AC worked well during the journey.rnrnThe flip side were the cushions in the seats and berths were very thin - and uncomfortable as compared to the berths in the older 3AC coaches. Railways need to review this aspect.rnrnWe did not carry food as we there was a pantry car in the train. However the service from the pantry was pathetic. For evening snacks they had only one item bread butter with cutlet for veg. For dinner they refused to serve thali which was shown in the menu. They had only one item Veg. Biryani for veg. customers. Even this came with a lid mentioning Non Veg Biryani. When he questioned the server he gave a lame excuse that the food is veg, but the cover is wrongly printed. The price is also very high at Rs.80/ for a veg, biryani and Rs.50/ for cutlet with 2 slices of bread with butter. The food and snacks were cold when served and the servers were rude. When asked for a complaint book, he said they do not have one and said "you do what you want to do" implying I do not care for your complaints.rnrnWe get much better variety of snacks and meals in all other trains in South. Why cant we get better variety and service in the Sampark Kranti trains. Why can't we get South Indian food in trains originating from Bangalore ?
