Eight hours journey by train!

Mar 5, 2015
Mode of Transport: Train

I travelled to Bikaner via train and journey was comfortable. The train was well-maintained and I reached on time. The passengers were good too. There was not much rush in the train and everything in the train was working properly. No food or refreshments were offered as such in between the stations but there were stalls on almost all stations so food was not an issue. Also tea sellers would enter on every station and provide delightful tea. The speed of train was good and journey took about 8 hours.

High speed train and magazines available

Awesome journey as it was a high speed train, non stop you can feel the pleasure. India is a developing country and train was very clean and spacious. Overall, the whole journey was so nice and good. We enjoyed a lot. Food was nice and hygienic. It has good varieties and a proper care was taken of non-veg and veg borders. I think all trains of India should be like this. The staff was so cooperative and well-mannered, sleeping facility was also very nice and clean. There was no disturbance from others, we also got magazines and newspapers to study.

We are group of 30 people and this is the first time I travelled in such a large group. We enjoyed a lot at each big stations. Its is some 15 hr journey but we never felt like we spent 15hrs in train. rnrnTrain started bit late however it reached on time. Only problem is that it has lot and lot of stations. :-) It stops on every smallest station/. rnrnBest we enjoyed is Mirchi Pakkoda :-)

Train was on time and seats were good

Mode of Transport: Train

Train is the best option to reach Jaiselmer from New Delhi. Since it is a long journey, you must book in advance. Have your food with you as food is not served in train. Train was on time from both the sides. Traveled in two tier AC with the family. Seats were good.
