Your Car, Your Convenience : Total Freedom

Nov 2, 2016
Mode of Transport: Car

The journey from Mumbai to Shirdi takes 5 hours of drive, that may vary depending upon the traffic situation. Now for that 5 hours drive we plan such that we get minimum traffic such as leave early in the morning, you get less traffic, have breakfast on the highway dhabas. There are many dhabas on the way to Shirdi and they serve their food in their native way and that is worth trying it.

On the way you get to see beautiful lakes between the mountain, wind mills rotating in the cool breeze and curvy roads to drive on. The journey becomes even better with good friends, music and cool weather.

Short relaxed drive

Nov 26, 2015
Mode of Transport: Car

Short drive from Mumbai with mostly excellent roads. Enough options to stop by for food on the way. Take the route through Nashik and not the slightly shorter way through Sinnar as that is mostly under repair. Route can be taken at any time of the day though starting early would always help if Darshan is to be done on the same day.

Tiring journey

Mode of Transport: Car

It's always tiring journey but can't help as this is the only way you can reach fast to shirdi as train takes lots of time. Road needs to improve once you start ghoti road. Its worst as the roads are in bad condition. Also drivers are worst after you exit from highway.

Comfortable and convenient journey

Sep 6, 2015
Mode of Transport: Taxi

Well the road journey with own conveyance is always good. We enjoyed the journey as it was raining lightly. The greenery and scenic beauty at the ghats was very amazing. The highway route was also good except some areas.

If a group of 5-7 people, it is advisable to travel by car.

Good journey and roads are in excellent condition

Mode of Transport: Car

Good journey and roads are in excellent condition. I went to Trimakeshwar first then had my lunch at Nashik city and then proceeded to Shirdi. The Mumbai Nashik Highway is too good. The Goti Bypass Road is damaged for few kms. Better time to travel is early morning, so no rush on the Highway.
