Road without much traffic and cool atmosphere

May 27, 2015
Mode of Transport: Car

The silence of peace in the night and the atmosphere of the place is fabulous, fantastic and enjoyable. It was ever since experience of my life and the night was calm the movement with my loneliness is such a good experience. The short stop at the dhaba remembers me about the cold atmosphere. I love the road without much traffic. I recommend the journey at night specially with my lovable once.

Through the ghats

Oct 25, 2014
Mode of Transport: Car

We left at around 6 am from Bangalore. To wade through the traffic we took an hour. Once we hit the Naka Mangal flyover it was great. In like 2 hrs you would reach Hassan. The roads are amazing 4 lane. After Hassan you reach Sakleshpur. Slowly slowly the ghat starts. And to be honest it's fun to drive. It's a totally a different experience. The beauty of the ghats is best during the monsoon. Lush green with river flowing. Awesome view. Then once you cross the ghat you start hitting small villages and reached the Mangalore city. It's a fun ride for sure and takes around 5-7 hrs.

Many attraction places on the way!

Dec 25, 2014
Mode of Transport: Car

The 4 way roads are excellent upto Hassan, still some places the constructions are going on. There are many attractions on the way one can try. Including the Farmers Son Resort, its just 2 km off road soon after Hassan. They offer many adventurous activities including air riffle shooting, paintball, ATV, dirt bike rides and many others. Also can check out way back Tippu built fort called Manjrabad Fort, very near and adjacent to Sakleshpur from then on its Westren Ghats and one should be careful driving, overall it was good trip.

Awesome route with newly laid roads

Dec 1, 2015
Mode of Transport: Car

It was an awesome drive, it would had been good, if we had proper lighting on the highways and that too on the hills. The turning towards Mangalore was not marked properly and most of the directions were in Kannada, I understand it is the local language, but government should understand that only locals are not travelling. It is for everyone, so either they can have English (which is a universal language), if not Hindi. Tourism generates funds not from locals but from outsiders, so they should understand that outsiders not necessarily may know the local language.
