We took the Bangalore - Nagarhole - Kutta town route.
This route passes through the Nagarhole forest reserve and is very well maintained. However (there are lot of hump's Breaker) in this route.
There are good restaurants on the route till hunsur and after Hunsur till Nagarhole there is no hotels. Please note that nagarhole route is closed from 9PM to 6PM and two wheelers are not allowed.

The night drive in the car was awesome. The roads were good. Smooth Journey to Coorg. We couldn't see any of the wildlife at night. We were disappointed at that but then we spotted a Deer and we were very happy. Morning we reached Coorg glades by 7 AM. We stopped at Kushalnagar, saw the place, it was awesome. Thank you!

The most enchanting part was the greenery still abound

Roads are fine. Being 50% enjoyment part is of road trip. You can freely drive 120 Kmph. The most enchanting part was the greenery still abound. But the year 2016 breaking all records of high temperatures, the climate was not as expected. Road Trip in monsoons are meant to die for.

A good journey

Coorg can be covered via mysore and it will be awesome ride if you go be your own car or booked cabs.

Preferably one should go via booked Cab as the cab person has more idea on the places and locations and also regarding the timings of temples.

We started on Monday morning for Mysore and stayed there for 2 days. On wednesday morning we started for Coorg and stayed 2 days in coorg.

A 4 days trip is good to cover Mysore and Coorg with family or friends.

The road is in good condition

Mar 28, 2016
Mode of Transport: Car

From Bangalore, we took the Nice Road and the Mysore Road. This road is in good condition, and passes through several cities such as Channapatna, Mandya and Srirangapatna. Being a busy route, there are a lot of petrol pumps and restaurants along this route. Just a few kilometers before Mysore, you need to turn right towards Hunsur. From Hunsur, the route diverges depending on which part of Coorg you are headed to.

The Bangalore - Mysore route is quite busy and traffic gets quite heavy during the day. Also, reaching Nice Road from any point within Bangalore can get quite time consuming. Hence, it is advisable to leave really early and hit Nice road by about 6.30 am.
