Brand new bus with good entertainment

Oct 4, 2014

I had a very nice experience of the bus journey from Mumbai to Bengaluru by multi-axle Volvo/Mercedes (not sure) bus of Sharma Travels. Maybe I was fortunate, because the bus was brand new and the cabin was super-clean, super-fresh, the AC functioning properly, and of course the windows were sealed because of air-conditioning, so the cabin was very quiet. No creaking and squeaking sounds. A blanket, water bottle and newspaper were provided to the passengers.

For me the bus journey started at about 2 pm from Vashi in Navi Mumbai, the bus took a halt at Pune for lunch and later on somewhere near Sholapur for dinner, after which it was non-stop till Bengaluru.

The entertainment system was good, with 2 LCD screens, one at the start and one in the middle of the cabinet. I was travelling alone, so it kept me well-entertained.

Unfortunately, the experience of travelling back to Mumbai was a totally opposite from what is described above, but I'll reserve that for the next post.

The sight scene was so refreshing enroute

Sep 18, 2014

The weather here is really good and I must say Dharamshal has little space and has heavy rush during all times of the day. The sight scene was so refreshing that the whole way was very nice. Although the last few hours of journey can create problems for those who have vomiting tendencies.

Last month we all office staffs (10 Persons) hired a tempo traveller and went for for Mata Vaishno Devi trip. We reached Katra, Jammu early morning on 24th August, 2014. We booked a local hotel (name can't remember) then we began our yatra from there and yatra was really amazing.

Nine hours travel by bus

Sep 17, 2014

Travelled by a private AC bus and it was a good bus. Clean with AC working really well. Seats were comfortable and atmosphere inside the bus was nice. It stopped twice on the way for refreshments. Reached Chandigarh within nine hours and travel was good and comfortable. Roads could have been batter but I liked the experience.

Co-operative co-passengers & TV was available for entertainment

Sep 2, 2014

Bus was good, seats are very comfortable and even windows were such that we canít hear any noise from outside. My co-passengers were also very co-operative and hygiene was very good. Overall bus was very nice, good and comfortable. There was TV for your entertainment so no chances of getting bored during your journey.

Bus quality was poor

Aug 21, 2014

I was excited as I booked a ticket for Benz but they provided me Volvo and I asked them what it is and they said some repair problem was going on. The bus provided to me was in very bad condition from inside and seats were uncomfortable. Never book the bus of this operator. It was at 7:40 pm from Hyderabad to Bangalore and they said it will reach by 6:00 but actually it reached at 8:00 am.

My advice:
Ask them before the bus begins, donít go and search for this bus operator.

My trip to Goa

Aug 20, 2014

We started for Goa and travelled by bus in a team of 5 people. We decided to travel many ways but unluckily we travelled by bus. Luckily we got Sharma Travels which is one of the best bus agencies in India. We enjoyed the entire trip by staying there for three days and we went to all the beaches in Goa. But only disappointment is we travelled in the month of May, 2013. It is advisable to travel to Goa during the peak season of December and January.

Stops at good hotel & seats were average

Jul 31, 2014

The journey in bus was good, as the bus was on time. Actually on time is a wonderful feeling and the bus stops in hotel which was good and the driving was also good. About the seating, it was ok, but if possible a little leg space is required and I felt it as I am tall.

There was no proper restroom at the stopovers

Jul 30, 2014

Last week Friday I travelled from Bangalore to Madurai. The bus was a nonstop bus but stopped at proper places for refreshment/rest room. The bus stopped in Salem and there were gents who were pissing on public and ladies have no option to go to restroom as there was no toilet facility. I asked the driver to stop at proper hygienic place and he said he will stop at Namakkal only which is one hour trip from Salem. Ladies suffered a lot during that journey don't book in Sharma travels hereafter.

It\'s a long ride but the road makes it a lot more comfortable

Nov 30, 2013

It's a long ride, close to 16 hours, but the road makes it a lot more comfortable. Beautiful road, minimum road bumps, beautiful view, sufficient road halts to make things easier. The bus was in very good conditions, you have better buses available but if you can, it's better to catch a train instead. Mumbai is a huge place, so to get to destination after the bus stops might take sometime.
