Roads are excellent

Feb 28, 2016
Mode of Transport: Bus

It was only a 4 hour journey by bus from the main bus station of Kolkata City. There are ample bus services available from Kolkata. Don't worry if you miss the train for non-availability of train reservation. Roads are excellent and journey is comfortable. There is only one stop for refreshment for the passengers in between.

Get your music app on and reach safely. You will first reach Old Digha and then New Digha- 1.5 km away from one another. Both are good to stay. The state-run bus depot is at New Digha in front of the Digha Railway station. Mohana, Mandarmani, Tajpur and Shankarpur beaches are nearer from Old Digha, whereas Talsari, Chandaneswar, Amarabati Park are nearer from New Digha.

Not so much comfortable

Feb 15, 2016
Mode of Transport: Bus

The only problem is if seat is not reserved previously, one might not get chance to sit. In weekdays they allow daily passengers to avail the bus therefore it gets crowded. Besides if traffic jam is present it hampers the arrival time of destination very much. The fare is cheap no doubt and also the seat is of semi luxury type. Allover it can be stated as a cheap but not classy journey.

Recommended operator for comfortable journey

Mode of Transport: Bus

My tour is so good because my journey was too comfortable. I booked a Volvo sleeper bus, so that is very comfortable journey for me. So I recommend others to travel by this tour and travel company. There is a great sea, this is a beautiful experience for me. So I want to come to this place on all the vacation.

Hectic bus journey but bang on time

Aug 7, 2015
Mode of Transport: Bus

The bus was a rocket bus. As usual the seats were not so good and the ride quality is average. But however, the bus is bang on time starting from the origin up-to the destination. The staff are more or less okay. Another problem with the bus is its over-stuffing. After the seats are filled more passengers are boarded who stands in the passageway making the environment claustrophobic. If you are travelling during the summer it would be advisable to take an A/c bus and not this one.

A pathetic journey in Ex Serviceman A/c bus from Digha to Kolkata

Jul 17, 2015
Mode of Transport: Bus

A pathetic journey in Ex Serviceman A/c bus from Digha to Kolkata. Bus was good looking but it was terribly jerking all the way. Road was good enough but bus was very poor, never ever board this bus specially elders and kid. It reached Kolkata on time. No charging points, TV was not working and had rest stop in a very dirty shop.
