Excellent bus for travelling a long distance

Aug 17, 2014
Mode of Transport: Bus

Ashok Bus has very good and comfortable seats. I didn't feel that I was on a bus as compared with other local buses. The staff in this bus provided good service. One of my opinion is that please don't book tickets at different unauthorized shops. They will take more money from you as commission. You either book tickets from Ashok Travels Office or authorized booking agencies like: Redbus, Goibibo etc.

It’s a seven hours journey by bus

Mode of Transport: Bus

I travelled from Bangalore during my project days. We were four of us there. Since train travel is a 12 hours journey, we opted to go by bus. So we booked Kalpaka Travels bus since travelling in day time was much difficult we opted to travel at night. It was a seven hours journey to Bangalore.

No discomfort during the travel

Feb 28, 2014
Mode of Transport: Bus

The bus started around 10 pm from Kannur and it reached at Majestic the next day at 6am. It is only 6 hours travelling time between these two cities. And two hours they spent for refreshment and snacks. There was no tiredness because all the travelling was at night. There was no unnecessary disturbances, vibrations or discomfort during the travel.

Bad roads

Dec 17, 2013
Mode of Transport: Bus

From Kannur to Bangalore it was a tiresome journey. Mainly the condition of the road after virajpet. The government must do something about this situation. Well because of the road problem couldn't enjoy the movie that was playing on the bus. The seat was comfortable.

Bus had good quality push back seats

Dec 16, 2013
Mode of Transport: Bus

I took a private bus till Virajpet from Iritty in Kannur. From Virajpet I boarded a Rajahamsa of Karnataka RTC, it had good quality push back seats and was not much crowded. I had started from Kannur in the morning and reached Bangalore early in the evening. Much of the route includes forest and rural places and hence offers a good opportunity for sight seeing.
