As it my own car it is good to travel, we can roam using our car. The road is good. Using Google map we located lot of places. Had own breakfast in hotel itself near Pichola Lake had lunch. Dinner had in a Punjabii restaurant. Car parking facility is cost 200 near palace. So don't park there and own car is preferred.

Be prepared to spend 10 hours of daytime during journey. Timings are okay and train is fairly on time. It's not that super-fast as it's expected but still acceptable. Tickets are generally available but it is always recommended to book in advance to avoid last minute rush.

We took a cab from Baroda, and on our way visited, other historic places. Had a very pleasant stay in Udaipur, excellent climate and relaxing holiday. Travel by car is the best way as we can see all the places coming on the way. We can stop our car whenever we want to eat and can also manage timings as per our wish. It was a very nice and memorable journey to Udaipur. We went to Nathdwara on the way. We stop on way and ate breakfast and it was quite an enjoyable journey.
