The food, especially savouries like Pazham Pori ( Banana Fritters ), Chakka Varuthathu ( Jackfruit Chips ), Neimeen Porichathu ( Seer Fish Fry ) were awesome to taste. Please try to taste the dishes made from coconut oil and especially, the traditional Kerala Hand Pound Rice with Sambar."

HolidayIQ Traveller Raj says, "It's more beautiful than anything we had ever seen, but the stay was not very pleasant because of lack of suitable accommodation. Also, the height (17,500 ft) and the minus temperature at night, makes it a little difficult place for a city person like me."

HolidayIQ Traveller Rajeev says, "It will be a best place for all my family irrespective of which group they belong to and its relaxing too so what else one needs. Better to visit Mangalore and Udupi along with Gokarna as all these places are near and all these places will make the trip a complete satisfaction. For young couples it is better to include Mangalore Malpe beach along with Om beach in Gokarna also in the list. Carry enough sun screen in case travelling during summer. Carry enough good food as the quality of food is not so great on the highway. Since shirdi ghat road is closed so plan on alternate route."
