A place punctuated with exemplary examples of Portuguese architecture like the Diu Fort and the St Paul's church, Diu with a certain colonial charm feels like a place outside the country. To add to this, it has some beautiful beaches like the Nagoa beach.

HolidayIQ reviewer AS says, “After Nagoa beach, Diu fort is the most popular place in Diu. There are only remains of the fort now but the fort in itself must have been a very romantic place once upon a time. On the roof of the fort there is bell which was the most interesting part for us friends.”

A beautiful hill station in Jammu & Kashmir, Pahalgam with its lush slopes and clear air is the perfect place to take refuge from the civilization. With otherworldly places like the Betaab valley and the Tulan lake, it will recharge you in a caouple of days.

HolidayIQ reviewer Ravinder says, “The place is too awesome. Any couple that wants a peaceful romantic place should go to Pahalgam. It is heaven on the earth and should be visited in June.”

Few places are as relaxing as the backwaters. Kovalam, not too far from Trivendrum, with its medley of beaches and backwaters, is the one of the best waterfront destinations of India. You can choose to relax by the Lighthouse beach or boat across the Veli lake and explore the tourist village.

HolidayIQ reviewer Siva says, “Beauty is how we view a particular thing. Calmness is what we felt inside our mind. Harmony is where nature shows its wonderful elegance with simplicity. Kovalam boasts all these. Go there in the beach and have a walk. Walk slowly and embrace the sound of waves hitting the shore.”

Nainital is the perfect place to detox from all the city pollution. With calm lakes like Naini lake and a gorgeous road in Mall Road, it also offers you a chance to scale Uttarrakhand's highest peak, Nanda Devi.

HolidayIQ reviewer Sanjay says, “It is the best destination for couples and friends’ groups because it’s to affordable for everyone. The way to reach is very simple- just take any cab from Delhi.”

Tired of Bangalore's traffic? Ditch the city life this long weekend and head straight to Madikeri where you can get closer to nature. Be welcomed by the beautiful Abbey falls and enjoy incredible views from Raja's seat!

HolidayIQ reviewer Praneeta says, “The enchanting fragrance of coffee, the aroma of fresh cardamom, black pepper and Coorg honey, the river Cauvery, and the air is so cool and fresh - every where there is omnipresent greenery. That's what Madikeri is all about. This Hill station is better than Ooty as it's not very crowded.”
