Sela pass is where war and romance meet 13,700 feet above sea level. Legend has it that an Indian soldier, Jaswant Singh Rawat, held off the Chinese here for 72 hours in 1962, during the Indi-China war. A tale of romance between the soldier and a tribal woman, named Sela, who helped him carry ammunition, is popular in the folklore of the area.

The pass "is on the road to Tawang. Watch it at whichever time of day and you'll enjoy it. In the evening, it gives an eerie atmosphere with the cold wind blowing. In the morning, it is serene like the Buddha himself and when the sun shines, it is a picture postcard that you want to keep with you forever.” says HolidayIQ Reviewer Subhajit Dinda says.

Dudhsagar is one of the world's most exquisite falls. The fall is the 5th largest in India, measuring 310 meters. The best time to visit the falls is at the peak of the monsoon season. Trekking along Dudhsagar Falls is a popular activity among tourists.

Holidayiq reviewer Saibal says, "the falls - mesmerizing, to say the least. The rocks on the way provide a tough time but once you reach the bottom of the falls. It's a thing of beauty. You can swim in the cold waters of the pool to reach the bottom of the falls or just sit on a rock and enjoy the water cascading down in a milky froth."

The Kanchenjunga Falls is a perennial waterfall in the Himalayas just outside the mysterious Kanchenjunga National Park and takes about an hour to reach from Pelling. HolidayIQ reviewer Nitin says, "Nice place at such high altitude. It also offers water games like crossing the falls from one end to another by ropeway. Falls are from huge heights." Sandeep, HolidayIQ reviewer adds, "A ropeway has been erected at a height across the stream where one can enjoy the adventure of crossing the stream hanging from a harness."
