"One of the awesome road trip of my life"

We started our journey from Mangalore via Sullia to Coorg. Road condition is really good. Journey started at 6 am in the morning as we had to cover almost 250 plus km in a day along with sightseeing. Journey was very comfortable. Road trip is recommended, if you have a good bike/car and few good friends who like to travel on bikes/car then just go for it. You can find many dhabas or restaurants on the way to Coorg, if you are die-hard fan of non-veg food try nati-koli chicken, really delicious. You will encounter many tiny falls on the way to Coorg if you wish to visit this place right after monsoon ends or even 1 or 2 weeks before monsoon ends, make sure you carry sufficient rain gears as the rain fall rate at these places is too much. If you are visiting during rainy seasons, carr ...Read More

"Rude driver and sharp twist & turns "

It was not a memorable experience while travelling to Coorg by car. But our mood was enhanced by seeing the beautiful sceneries like spice farms, hills, forest and the change from hot to cold atmosphere. There are no such special suggestions about the things that you should keep in mind as it was a normal car travel but yaa don't eat too much during the journey because the roads are convoluted with sharp twists and turns so that may cause vomiting to some people.

"Roads in excellent condition and beautiful sites"

I started from B C Road to Coorg. I love driving. I like to travel with family. I travel early mornings to avoid the heat. I drive taking adequate breaks. I like to take informal breaks where there are scenic beautiful sites. My philosophy is the journey matters first and the destination next. So we wake up early morning take a leisurely drive stopped for breakfast at Puttur. Then we drove along the scenic jungle to reach abbey falls. The route is nice. And the roads are pothole free. But when you plan to stay in Coorg jungle camp beware of their timings. They allow guests at 2 Pm and check out is at 11 Am. So in effect you get 3 hours short. There is Bhagmandala on the way. I visited Abbey Falls before we checked into Coorg jungle camp.

We travelled from Mangalore to Coorg by an Ertiga. The car was wonderfully maintained by the driver and the driver was a gem of a person. Not only was flexible to be open to the idea of us retaining the car if needed, he was very polite and quite knowledgeable as well. He explained to us about the flora and fauna on the route to Coorg, and was kind enough to suggest places to visit. There were no tantrums, car was always clean, driving superb and overall it was a great experience.

"Ghat section so drive carefully"

Its good and I enjoyed a lot. But this is a full ghat section drive and the driver has to be careful while driving. I went in AC car but AC is not necessary because the place itself is very cool. So avoid AC cars and make sure that you should have anti-vomiting tablets because it’s a ghat route.
