We visited through Big Van on hire. The overall experience was good, we visited some of the waterfalls on the way. We enjoyed dancing and eating on the way. You can find Kamath Yatri Nivas on the way near about Mandya. We had breakfast over there. Also you can find Coffee Day and MacDonalds there. Try to take your own eatable things as sometimes you find the things costly on the way. Going by own car or even by bus is a good option.

BR Hills is a short getaway trip from Bangalore. We have to take the Chamarajnagar Route for BR Hills to enjoy the forest. If we are lucky we may even spot the ever elusive Tiger or a Leopard. Deer, Elephants and Bison are common sightings. Please don’t speed on the forest roads and don’t honk. Nearby place from Chamarajnagar is Terekanambi which has an old Varadaraja temple.

Things to Do
Biligiri Rangan Hills got its name most probably from the large, white rock face that holds the temple of Lord Rangaswamy. The Biligiriranganatha Swamy Temple Wildlife Sanctuary or simply BRT Wildlife Sanctuary was declared a tiger reserve in 2011 and is one of the biggest attractions of this area.
Apart from drowning in the beauty of these hills, sightseeing in B R Hills involves taking in the awesome fresh, pure air here among other things. Jungle safaris, trekking through the forests, fishing in the rivers, coracle boat rides and river rafting are just a few of the activities of the area.
Hotels in BR Hills offer a great variety of accommodation. From affordable hotels to comfortable and homely farmhouses and home stays. You can choose to stay in a nice large estate or plantation here or even a resort which is surrounded by forest, and enjoy the flora and fauna of each area.
