I had my third year university exams leave and I had few bucks in my pocket yet not sufficient for Mumbai. You know it is too expensive to travel Mumbai yet I decided to go. On 6 December, on the day of Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated so on that day a large no of peoples use to go to Mumbai for Jayanti and it was impossible for TTE to check each and every passengers ticket. So there is a holiday for Mumbai TTE on 6th December and in this heavy crowd anyone can clear without ticket so we did the same. It was my ever cheapest trip. I had 5000 bucks but I want to spend it on clothes and shopping.
We went Mumbai on 6 December without ticket reached in the morning, had Vadapav and then move towards the Fashion Street after completing shopping at 5 pm we went to Gateway of India. It was a beautiful scenario, one side sea and the other side Taj Hotel and a park and the crowd was awesome.
The scenario of the gate was awesome and wonderful at night .Upto now I had spent my 3500 bucks now I had only 1500 remaining and it was time for dinner, dinner was done and then we went to my friends sister home for night stay. Everything was planned to minimize the expenses.
In morning we had tea and breakfast, I was feeling like I am a Mumbaikar. We are tourists so, we have to go, so the day comes that was 9th December we came to our city, paid for the tickets as it was not Jayanti. It was the cheapest and memorable and unforgettable journey.
Jai Maharashtra, Jai Mumbai
