Best experience

Dec 28, 2015
Mode of Transport: Train

Some of the things which I would like to share here related to the journey are as follows:

1. Train Name: Jammu Rajdhani Express
2. Package Name: IRCTC Maa Vaishno Devi Package
3. Place of Stay: Country Inn

The best part of the trip is the 'Convenience' and 'The Place of Stay'. Hotel Country Inn is a 5 star hotel with a picturesque location. The food served in the hotel is very good and tasty.

The journey starts from New Delhi Railway Station after boarding Jammu Rajdhani Express. If you completely rely on the food served in Rajdhani then it's fine, otherwise you may carry your snacks too.

After alighting from the train, Country Inn bus would take you to the Hotel and you would be given 2 hours for refreshment and breakfast. After having the breakfast, Hotel Bus would drop you to Banganga and the real Yatra begins technically. It is estimated that you would begin your yatra at 11 AM and return back before 5 AM next day. Again, you would be picked up by the Hotel Car and you reach hotel. You would take bath, have breakfast, roam around the Hotel Garden and get prepared to check out at 12 PM. The Hotel bus would take you the 'Raghunath Temple' and would drop you to the Jammu Station around 6PM.

You board the Rajdhani Express, and reach Delhi before 7 AM next morning.

Best part of the journey is you don't waste time in commuting and Hotel Country Inn staff are very polite and courteous.

There was delay

Oct 11, 2015
Mode of Transport: Train

This train takes a lot of time, more stations to halt and always give passage to other Superfast trains thus delaying the time. One could look at either increasing the speed or reducing the halts and ensuring the journey is not halted to give passages.

Train experience was good and comfortable

Mode of Transport: Train

This is one of the most suited train. After getting down from Jammy we hired a taxi for Katra. The journey from New Delhi to Jammu and from Jammu to Katra was comfortable. There was no problem enroute. The road conditions from Jammu to Katra have been improved like any thing. These are wide and smooth.

Travel to holy land

Mode of Transport: Train

My experience was a surreal one. The train experience in Jan Shatabdi was good and I had a lot of fun during the 14 km "chadai". It was really cold but I had a great time with friends. It is highly recommended to go there during winter. The scenery is beautiful plus you get a divine view of the mountains. A must visit place.

Good train

Aug 20, 2014
Mode of Transport: Train

It was very good to travel by train to Vaishno Devi. I got a hotel nearby Katra due to my bookings which was already made through internet. I enjoyed a lot with my friends and more interestingly, I got to see the Ardhkunwari Mata during my trekking to the temple.
