I planned a day journey to enjoy the post monsoon crops on the way. I booked a window seat in non-AC compartment so that the window is open to experience the gentle breeze.
Only Rs. 65 for senior citizen female.
I wondered the magnificence of world trade center near Yeshwanthpur itself.
Then the coconut, date, arecanut trees all the way from Tumkur to Tiptur. Especially the arecanut trees look like a cobweb removing stick.
Near Bhadravathi, the MPL factory and flame from the chimney can be seen for quite some distance. I was told that the factory plants as many trees as use for making paper.
Definitely I enjoyed the small lakes with some birds and the beautiful sunset.
All sorts of local snacks were sold. There is a TV with cartoons, ads and song sequence. It felt like a muted TV because there was so much noise in the compartment.
Somehow 2 beggars also got entry - not troublesome.
Unlike other junctions, Shimoga junction is a small station. One should get down at Shimoga Town to get autos and taxis.
Very convenient train after lunch get in and get down by dinner time. Enjoy the snacks sold in the compartment though there is no pantry car.
The train was in time. The train arrives at platform 10 which is the back of city station. Since it is intercity one has to choose the bogie which goes to Shimoga and get in.
