A train journey worth reviewing

Dec 2, 2015
Mode of Transport: Train

I travelled by train from Yeshwantpur to Howrah by the superfast train from Yesvantpur junction to Howrah junction which approximately takes 35 hours. It goes via Jolarpettai, tirupati, ongole, rajahmundry, vijayawada, visakhapatnam, srikakulam, khurda road, bhubaneswar and Kharagpur. The train journey is thoroughly enjoyable, that too when one goes with friends and family. The train departs from the Yesvantpur Junction at approximately 19:35 minutes in the evening and reaches Visakhapatnam Junction at around 5 pm in the evening next day. Then, after a stoppage of around half an hour at vizag, a diesel engine is fitted to the train and it approximately takes around 13 hours from there to reach the spacious Howrah junction. We had booked a second class ticket on this train which was for my sister's wedding. It is a must that tickets have to be booked before hand to avoid a last-minute disappointment. The train reaches Howrah Junction at around 6:30 on the third day of the majestic journey by train.

The train offers nice food for free of cost on the time. There is no delay in food to be postponed. In short the train is very good.

Wonderful journey

Dec 5, 2015
Mode of Transport: Train

It was my first time travel from Kolkata, I really liked it, it was filled with mix of bengali and karnataka people some were really good and had adjustment. I traveled in Duronto Express from Howrah to Yeshwantpur it saves lot of time. If we compare this train from other express trains than Duronto will be more preferred by the passengers. Duronto departs from Howrah junction at 11:00 and it reaches Howrah at 16:00. This train has very less stops and reaches the destination on time.

The service is awesome they provide tasty food with good quality both in sleeper and AC compartments, just varieties of food differs in different compartments. This train is almost similar to Rajdhani express, Duronto is one of the best trains introduced by Indian Railway. The only issue I faced was cleanliness of toilets as I expected it to be but in AC it was much better and it was too cold in night better carry blankets I really enjoyed the trip the food served was decent I liked the quality compared to what we get in normal trains. And I liked the comfort compared to what we get in normal trains and its delayed by max of 10 mins but you must really give a try travelling in train hope my review helps.

Clean toilets and pretty good AC coaches

Dec 30, 2014
Mode of Transport: Train

It is the best train to go after Duronto exp from Howrah. I went with my friends in 3 AC and the train coaches were pretty good. Toilets were clean and the bedding provided was not up to the mark but it was ok. The food provided was not upto the mark and don't go alone as it's a long journey and you will get bored and I enjoyed the journey.
