An awesome bus

Jan 31, 2016
Mode of Transport: Bus

This bus is the best you can travel in for Manali. The drivers are too well-trained and they drive the bus like a airplane. I enjoyed the bus ride and kept my eyes closed all the time. Just kidding. Though if you wanna go to Manali then you should definitely go by this bus as its too far and this bus is too comfortable.

Bus provides full comfort with luxury

Jan 24, 2016
Mode of Transport: Bus

This trip to Manali was one of my best trips. I choose to go by HRTC bus in the month of December dated 22 dec to 26th dec. I chose to travel with my friends via semi deluxe bus and chose Volvo while returning. But I would recommend people to take the HRTC bus whose price is Rs. 1199. Don't choose the bus which costs Rs. 995 because this bus offers very congested seats and on the other hand Rs. 1200 bus provide full comfort with luxury.

In my 3 day trip I visited places like hadimba temple where I was fortunate enough that I was able to see a proper snowfall which provided a refreshing environment and a feeling never ever had. For skating kind of activities we visited Solang Valley which was fully covered with snow giving an ultimate feel of fun as you are able to play with snow. We had a visit to Manikaran gurudwara where we found a river whose half part is of hot water and half of cold water. That looks like some kind of miracle and when asked about the hot water from the native people they told me that the water is boiling at a temperature of 99 degree Celsius. So that was an ultimate fun when you're travelling and everywhere you are able to see ice and ice only.

Quite a few advices for travellers:

1. Travellers who want to go to rohtang pass at this time will get dissatisfied as it is closed in these months and open in June. And also people who want to go for adventure then a little bad news for them as the solang valley site came under the purview of government and they had banned every adventure activity. So if you want some adventure go to Kullu where you'll be able to do activities like river rafting, trekking etc.

2. While going to play with snow at solang valley take a dangri suit worth Rs. 250 from the shops in between the way to solang valley which will protect your original clothes from getting wet.

3. Take taxi while travelling to manikaran and solang valley as u will find comfort via travelling by taxi and it just costs around 20-30% extra than a normal bus.

4. Take as much heavy clothes as u can as in this time u are going to experience a lot of cold.

5. If you go than at least one time dine at johnson's lodge near mall road of manali as it is the best, a little costly but worth it.

Good journey through hills

Mode of Transport: Bus

Volvo bus was very good. Temperature was maintained well inside the bus. Journey through tunnels, hills, beside of rivers in the early morning was an awesome experience. Road before 5 to 7 hours to manali was full of mountains and a thrilling experience. Best transport in winters to go to manali is by AC Volvo bus.

Manali Trip - The Unexpected Journey

Nov 23, 2015
Mode of Transport: Bus

This was an awesome experience to all of us as it was totally an unplanned Journey. All of us flatmates were having 4 days off on Independence day weekend in 2014. We were having dinner and @9 PM we just packed and heat to Kashmiri Gate Bus stand. Stood in line for almost 5 hrs to get ourselves the ticket. Reached Chandigarh @ 8 AM and after having paranthas with butter continued our trip to Manali with Himachal Roadways bus in which we were stuck in heavy traffic some time, sometime we climbed the bus and journeyed on the top. :) which was awesome and legendary feeling.

Reached Manali @ 4 AM in the morning next day. Then went out to Rohtang for one day with trekking + taxi which was amazing to view the stones and lakes clicked some pictures on the road. Mind the trekking was good with the cold breeze keeping your mind calm and each breath making you more alive, Kullu+Manikaran in one day. In all it was the complete package that you need to get away from the boredom of working 9 hrs a day in the office. It will completely rejuvenate you and make you love the nature even more. Especially the clean air and cool weather.

Mode of Transport: Bus

Best time to travel is the night journey. AC bus is must for travelling. however while returning, non-ac or moderate ac may also ok. Bus used was having LED. Water bottles, blankets was provided in the bus. While travelling in the hilly area, there are chances of vomiting. So, One should take care of this. Many beautiful scenes can be observed while travelling.
