A night travel from Mysore to Ooty, good seating

We had a pleasant journey but did not get to see much at night. The bus was clean and the seats were good. The bus was not A/C nor did we need the same as the climate was quite good. The journey was mostly through the jungles between the two states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The greenery is evident once the journey begins but we miss it as it gets dark. It is worth waking up early to see the scenes from the window. We were fortunate to see an Elephant, which is considered lucky also. We were satisfied with the transport as we wanted to be fresh to explore the hill station.

I want to just say it was an awesome journey from Mysore to Ooty through the forest. It was the extraordinary journey which I can never forget. The road was superb but was scared looking at the valley (the sharp curves) but later felt comfortable and excited.

Long journey but nice

Itís a mixed opinion as we traveled through KSRTC bus, as no train facility from my place. Half way down itís a good but as hours pass it gets boring. Overall itís a nice experience for us. Best time for leaving ooty is early morning I guess. After we pass Karnataka boundary itís hardly we find any proper food. So we should be prepared for it.

I boarded an AC bus to Ooty from Mysore it was a Volvo. The journey was relaxing it took six hours to reach Ooty. The scenery was very pleasant as we upped the hills it is better to go by volvo as it is a powerful vehicle and also very smooth there are not much volvo buses from Mysore I did not get a bus as soon as I went to the bus stand.

Fun Bus Ride

Seats were good; water bottles were also supplied by the bus officials. The bus was air conditioned and we played antakshari in the bus. Actually, we had a great time in the bus; we saw elephants, deers, and even a peacock from the window of bus. The best part is the kids had a good time indeed! Our bus stopped at a hotel for lunch, we had food and again started our journey to Ooty.
