Air India - Worst customer service ever!

I was travailing with 2 other colleagues. On arrival at the airport we have been asked at the check-in if we would like to Upgrade to Business by paying an additional fee. We all agreed . The Check-in agent was a very friendly lady and managed everything well. She then asked us to pay the upgarde at another counter across the aisle. We went there and no one, absolutely no one seemed to be interested in to process our additional payment! We had a bit a rush as the flight was scheduled to leave in a short time and we asked several times the various Air India persons behind this counter to process our payment. We have been actively ignored for at least 15 min which is absolutely unacceptable. When I finally burs ted out in a very loud compalaint and demanded to see the manager (who never showed up) one person shouted accorss the aisle to the lady who had checked us in and told her to come over to process the payment! She needed to close her check-in counter, walk over and process our payment. This process and behavior of Air India personal is absolutely unacceptabel and Air India deserves to have some of the worst ratings for their customer service! I will never ever use Air India again - fortunately Indigo or other Indian Airlines appreciate my business. Not to be misunderstood the employees of Air India at this counter were not busy at all - they had plenty of time to walk around in the counter, carry paper from one side to the other and talk to eachother! Thanks to the lady we finally got our payment finally done, received our boarding passes and just made it in time to the departure gate with only 5 min left to deperature! Absolutely unbelieveable!

Disappointed!

Departing from Mumbai airport, there was no baggage screening done, and bags were checked in directly at the counter . . Firstly, although we had done web check in we still had to wait in the same long line as the rest of the check-ins instead of just heading to a bag drop counter. This is irritating as it takes so much time. Mumbai having so many indigo counters can a lot at least one or two for just bag drops. Secondly, the baggage wasn't screened there but upon arrival we find the lock on the bag missing. So after check in they've screened it, broken the lock, and returned the bag without a lock on it. This is unacceptable! If we had to travel further on to another flight then what about my lock? To top it, our hand baggage was screened twice! Apparently some random checking indigo does for safety purpose. Like y'all don't trust the cops that are doing the screening at the airport first . What a waste of time and resources! And now indigo has lost my trust with handling my baggage.

Considerate understanding of flyers requirements specially on an near empty flight. We three were larger sized adults requesting a emergency seating and made to wait a couple hours till near boarding time when the flight was half capacity.

Flight 663 was cancelled and accommodated in flight 661 scheduled to depart 3 hours later. No care taken to provide food or lounge. The new flight also took off after another 15 minutes.
