I booked a 6. 20 flight to Coimbatore from Chennai and was standing in queue for check in and managed to reach the check in staff around 5. 55 and they want me screen the bag, so I went back and reached the staff again at 5. 58 and she asked me where. I told Coimbatore and she told the gates are closed. Seriously I was waiting in the queue from 5. 30. I requested her to call and check whether the gates are actually closed, is there anything to be done. I even told, since I had a rucksack, I don't even need to drop my baggage and I can run, since there are 20 mins left. But she keep telling, the gates are closed, she can't do anything. She didn't even try to call those people and check, whether there is anyone there.
Then I paid out 3200 more for the next flight. Yes more than the original price. And this time I checked in at 6. 30 and went inside and was waiting near the gate 30 mins before, and actually I was sent in 15 mins before and I saw people getting in till the last minute. I seriously don't understand, If people can come till the last minute in 9. 45 flight, why I was not allowed in 6. 20 flight. I paid 3200 more, and sat in airport for 3 hours doing nothing. I seriously have a thought, that they have sold my tickets to someone else. I don't know, from when Indigo has become so money oriented.
Such a disappointing experience. Never ever in future, I will be taking Indigo again.
