SpiceJet charges for every seat if you want to do seat selection ahead of the day of the flight. This is extortion. While, most air lines charge money for special seats like leg room, window seats, etc, I was surprised to see the SpiceJet wanted me to pay Rs 200 for the middle seat in 3 + 3 seater. These people have put in low cost other state people as air hostesses and these girls can't speak the local language although the flight is between two cities (Chennai and Coimbatore) within Tamilnadu. I really don't the purpose of safety instructions given in hindi, while most of the fliers are non-hindi speaking people in this flight. Although SpiceJet is owned by Kalanidhi Maran, who is a grand nephew of the great Tamil scholar Karunanidhi, it is a shame that they don't endorse their mother language in their field of business.
