I fly Air India very less and only when there are limited options. Their aircraft are good but staff, quality of food and web-check-in is terrible. Firstly, I could not web check-in in spite of repeated tries. Flight was rescheduled which was informed but at airport it got delayed by another hour and I almost missed my meeting at Jabalpur. There were 5 Male staff at gate 42-C but they were busy on their Mobile playing video game. They could not say why the delay. When they announced on mike, audio was not coherent. They said boarding would commence in 10 minutes but it took another 35 minutes. After reaching the aircraft, bus doors were kept closed for another 5 minutes. After alighting from bus, again sopped at the ladder of ATR-72 for 2 minutes. The lady cabin crew was standing at the door and was howling on someone. She must be having college going children. During the flight, she came with sandwich tray and asked everyone- "Do you want Sandwich? " The sandwich was cold, had no meyonese, cheese or lettuce.
Now let me tell you that on 10 Jan ( exact date I don't remember) 2015, I traveled to Sydney, Australia by direct Delhi-Sydney Air India flight. We were made to wait for 3 hours inside the aircraft after boarding as 2 cabin crew did not report for duty. 5 days later, on return flight, again we waited for exact 3 hours at the airport+aircraft due to technical fault. In between I flew 2 more times by Air India but they were always late.
