"Religious Destination"

I like the place because of its piousness and would like to recommend if people travelling from Delhi better take by air or Goa express its usually don't get delay but if in case get delays then take around 4-5 hours late, post reaching to Kopergaon you cam take small autos which will charge you 550 private and around 700 for bigger one to the Shirdi Sri SAI NathTemple.
Must saw thing is "Kakkad Aarti" which starts at 4:15 and goes till 5:30 in Morning, queue for the same will start at night one can take VIP pass also by doing booking on
Online. Sai. Org. In all details like timings of Aarti will be available on the site.
If someone wants to go Shani Mandir then it tooks around 2 hour from Shri SAI Nath Temple which is around 80 km from there.
For Goa there is a very good Sleeper Class buses start at 3 in afternoon it very comfortable and it tooks 15 hours but with a great comfort

"Always happy to be in Shirdi"

Jai Sai Ram!!!

Our main purpose of going to Shirdi was to have Sai Baba Darshan and to seek His blessings.

We reached Shirdi via Pune, which was convenient. Located some 185 km away from Pune, it's connected by a 4 lane highway. Takes about 4 hours to reach Shirdi from Pune by road. Though there are convenient rail connection also, we had booked a cab to save time.

We reached Pune in late evening (10:30 PM) from Bangalore and took a cab straight to Shirdi. Not much traffic. But road was safe. No issues at all. This was the 2nd visit almost after 20 years. So was looking forward to have darshan of Sai Baba.

Checked into the hotel in Shirdi we had booked in advance. There are hundreds of hotels available suiting to one's needs and budget. People are very nice and very helpful. After an hour's rest, had a quick Bath and went to the Temple by 6:00 AM.

After biometric registration (near Gate-1), we received the passes for free darshan and got into the queue through Gate-1 of Temple. Just took around 20 minutes to enter the Sanctum Sanctorum and had a very good darshan early in the morning. Cannot describe the feeling of satisfaction and happiness we felt while praying before Sai Baba in the temple.

There are several other temples inside the precincts also. Dwaraka Mai is outside the temple, just a little away (say 50 meters).

It is always a desire fulfilled to be in Shirdi to have darshan of Sai Baba.

The place has the divine presence of Sai Baba everywhere and in everything.

Since most of the visitors are Baba devotees, the main purpose is to seek blessings of Sai Baba. The darshan itself, even if only for few moments, is a blessing by Him.

Having fulfilled our dream, we left Shirdi after breakfast heading towards Ajantha & Ellora caves, before returning to Pune for our return flight the next evening.

It was a memorable journey and would want to go back to Shirdi any time (and any number of times) to have Baba's darshan.

About Shirdi

Shirdi, mostly known for the great saint Shirdi Sai Baba, is situated in the Ahmednagar District of Maharashtra. Shirdi, also known as the Land of Sai, is a popular destination of pilgrims throughout the year. The earlier history of Shirdi is not known but Shirdi shot to fame during the earlier 20th Century.

The name ‘Shirdi’ is interconnected with the life of Shirdi Sai Baba. Shirdi Sai Baba visited Shirdi when he was sixteen years old and stayed there until his death in 1918. Through Shirdi Sai Baba, Shirdi has earned a significant place among the pilgrimage destinations of India.

Shirdi is a small town in Maharashtra that comprises an area of about 3 sq. km. Shirdi is located at a distance of about 297 km from Mumbai, 82 km from Ahmednagar and 80 km from the religious city of Nasik and 16 km from Kopargaon.

The State Government of Maharashtra along with the Shirdi municipal council & Shri Sai Baba Sansthan are planning for infrastructure development in Shirdi, keeping in mind the 100th anniversary of Shri Sai Baba Punyatithi on the day of Dusshera in 2018. Another project for the integrated development of Shirdi and its surrounding villages has given boost to the thriving hospitality industry in the area.

The Shirdi temple complex which is the main attraction of Shirdi covers an area of about 200 sq. m. The temple complex includes Khandoba, Gurusthan, Samadhi Mandir, Dwarkamai, Chavadi and Lendi Baug.  Maruti Temple and Shani Temple, constructed under the supervision of Shirdi Sai Baba, are the other places of attraction in Shirdi.
