"Very commercial. Not good for summers."

We went with our family in May 2015. The only positive thing about this place was a nice resort we had booked there and a good time that we spent together in a not so hot weather. Roads to reach Manali from Shimla are pathetic. Roads and traffic within Manali is disgusting. Dusty city with barely anything to offer. View of snow clad mountains and the lawns of Hidimba temple were among the good things. Rohtang pass is perhaps the most commercial tourist attraction I've ever seen so far. For all the hype around it, it's absolutely not worth it. Readers please consider a more offbeat destination if you are the kind who like to get away from traffic and crowds during your vacations.

Manali is a valley nestled in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh. It is one of the popular Hill Station. It is one of the most popular Honeymoon Destination and also a gateway to Lahaul and Spiti as well as to Leh.
The climate in Manali is predominantly cold. The best time to visit Manali is from April to November.
Sights to visit in Manali are: Hadimba Temple, Solang Valley, Rohtang pass (which is open only from May to November), Manali Club house, Van vihar.

"Bliss named Manali."

After travelling to basically everywhere in India, it comes to this. Manali, the best of places I've been to. Been there twice, and will be there many more times.
I'd admit that I'm biased, because I'd pick mountains over beaches anyday, but among the whole north west, and even north east, this tiny little valley, will always remain my personal favourite.

"The Honeymooners perfect destination ..."

Manali is really a very awesome place specially for Honeymooners. I went in 2nd week of lst december .. Although there was not so much snow but still it has its natural beauty without snow ... Overall journey was good enough except I have booked a tour package with Travel Beyond, Shimla on the reference of Holiday IQ. The company was local and we faced a lot of problems just because of that company .. There were no communications between the company agents and bus services, taxi drivers, hotels ... Etc. We suffered a lot. Even at last time the Company's relation manager abused and frightened us (we were two couples). I feel that Holiday IQ should check the of this kind of Frauds. They dint complete any promise that was make at the time of booking. We were very disappointed because of that company otherwise the plce and the locl people were so nice and humble and cooperative also. Thanks.
