Average Experience

We have wait listed tickets of DDN Shatabdi train, which remained wait listed and we had to go by bus. We reached ISBT Kashmiri Gate and board a Bus for Haridwar.

Since it was an ordinary express bus, which ran on the highway only and stopped at the midway hotel on UP - UK border. The overall experience of travel by non-AC bus was okay. It was tiring and hot but we could pass 5-6 hours without any major difficulty.

If you are travelling by this kind of buses, please keep extra water bottles and some things to eat also. The Dhabas, where buses stop, charges high and quality of the items were usually not good. They also don't have proper toilet facility.

UPSRTC bus is a good way from Delhi to Rishikesh

Sep 6, 2015

We started our journey from isbt bus stand kashmiri gate and we prebooked 4 tickets through online. The bus starts at 11 pm then they just give you one stop after travelling 100 km from Delhi toward Rishikesh for eating and going to washroom so you should be well-prepared that if there is some loo problem then you should not choose bus you should go by train. Bus started at 11 pm and we reached Rishikesh by 6am in the morning. Overall, experience of travelling in bus was good.

Nice bus service but lack of amenities

Jul 25, 2015

Bus was good but it was not on time, since driver stopped the bus in many places. Bus took long time to reach the destination and lack of service. But bus was neat and well-maintained like Varanasi. Bus lack amenities like charging point, mobile hanging stand and have no desk to sleep on.

UPSRTC buses are a good option if you are not familiar with the route

Jun 30, 2015

I boarded UPSRTC bus from Meerut to Saharanpur. It approx 2.5-3 hrs journey. You can go by car to be comfortable but as I wasn't familiar with the route so I took roadways bus. Journey wasn't that bad as people expect roadways buses to be. They are punctual and conductor in my bus was cooperative. I didn't face any specific hassle in travel.

UPSRTC buses are not that bad what people think

Jun 30, 2015

We went to Nainital by bus. I must say UPSRTC buses are punctual in their schedule. Although not luxurious but they were not that bad. They'll leave you at Haldwani and from there you'll easily get Uttrakhand Roadways bus or a jeep to Nainital. I say its approx 6-7 hours journey so plan accordingly.
