Not so much comfortable

Feb 15, 2016

The only problem is if seat is not reserved previously, one might not get chance to sit. In weekdays they allow daily passengers to avail the bus therefore it gets crowded. Besides if traffic jam is present it hampers the arrival time of destination very much. The fare is cheap no doubt and also the seat is of semi luxury type. Allover it can be stated as a cheap but not classy journey.

Comfortable bus journey to Darjeeling

Mar 16, 2015

We started our journey from Bankura Town by South Bengal State Transport Corporation (SBSTC) bus service from Bankura to Siliguri. The bus has departed at 5:20 PM from Gobindonagar Bus-stand Bankura and reaches to Siliguri by next day morning at 7:00 clock in the morning. And from Siliguri to Darjeeling we travelled by Tata Sumo. It will rarely take 1 hr to reach Darjeeling from Siliguri.

Travel expenses are not so high in this bus

Sep 16, 2014

The roads are not pretty as the time taken to reach the destination is a real concern. Never the less the travel expenses are not so high so it is overall a good experience. The service of the bus is quite good and the seat of the bus is also quite good. So I would recommend this to all the middle class people around here.

The bus plies twice a day to Bakkhali

Apr 21, 2014

The bus service was good. The bus was on time. But do not rely to the booking counter guy even if he says that no seats are available. They cunningly set aside few seats to be sold out at a higher price. So do hammer them properly before you believe that no seats are available. There are only two buses per day. One at 6.30 am in the morning and other at 2 pm.
