Not a bad bus experience

May 11, 2016

I boarded the HRTC Tata A/C bus which left the boarding point right on time.

I don't know what happened on the way but I reached my destination 2 hours late, which was not really my expectation. Nevertheless, the overall bus experience was good since the bus quality was fine, the staff was okay and they cooperated with anything the travelers needed.

A good experience all in all!

Pleasurable trip, eat more but less oily

Apr 1, 2016

I travelled by HRTC Volvo Bus service from Tutikandi ISBT, Shimla to Himachal Bhawan. It was a pleasurable trip. The buses have Air conditioning system, reclining seats and foot rest.

Advice to the travellers - Eat healthy and less oily stuff. Eat less as you'll be travelling in a hilly terrain and over-eating would cause hill sickness.

An awesome bus

Jan 31, 2016

This bus is the best you can travel in for Manali. The drivers are too well-trained and they drive the bus like a airplane. I enjoyed the bus ride and kept my eyes closed all the time. Just kidding. Though if you wanna go to Manali then you should definitely go by this bus as its too far and this bus is too comfortable.

Bus provides full comfort with luxury

Jan 24, 2016

This trip to Manali was one of my best trips. I choose to go by HRTC bus in the month of December dated 22 dec to 26th dec. I chose to travel with my friends via semi deluxe bus and chose Volvo while returning. But I would recommend people to take the HRTC bus whose price is Rs. 1199. Don't choose the bus which costs Rs. 995 because this bus offers very congested seats and on the other hand Rs. 1200 bus provide full comfort with luxury.

In my 3 day trip I visited places like hadimba temple where I was fortunate enough that I was able to see a proper snowfall which provided a refreshing environment and a feeling never ever had. For skating kind of activities we visited Solang Valley which was fully covered with snow giving an ultimate feel of fun as you are able to play with snow. We had a visit to Manikaran gurudwara where we found a river whose half part is of hot water and half of cold water. That looks like some kind of miracle and when asked about the hot water from the native people they told me that the water is boiling at a temperature of 99 degree Celsius. So that was an ultimate fun when you're travelling and everywhere you are able to see ice and ice only.

Quite a few advices for travellers:

1. Travellers who want to go to rohtang pass at this time will get dissatisfied as it is closed in these months and open in June. And also people who want to go for adventure then a little bad news for them as the solang valley site came under the purview of government and they had banned every adventure activity. So if you want some adventure go to Kullu where you'll be able to do activities like river rafting, trekking etc.

2. While going to play with snow at solang valley take a dangri suit worth Rs. 250 from the shops in between the way to solang valley which will protect your original clothes from getting wet.

3. Take taxi while travelling to manikaran and solang valley as u will find comfort via travelling by taxi and it just costs around 20-30% extra than a normal bus.

4. Take as much heavy clothes as u can as in this time u are going to experience a lot of cold.

5. If you go than at least one time dine at johnson's lodge near mall road of manali as it is the best, a little costly but worth it.

A good journey

Jan 13, 2016

My journey from Delhi to Panipat by Haryana Roadways is a good experience for me. Bus quality is not very good and no extra service is provided (like water, blanket, charging point, cushion etc). But staff behavior is good and co-operate. Overall experience is so-so.

Dec 17, 2015

It was an fantastic ride to the Shimla. As the rounded and up down roads and the bus driver was amazing. It takes us pretty fast and makes us reach on time. The bus condition and timings is very good that make the our journey very comfortable. The bus takes few hours for drive to shimla and makes our journey very comfortable. The bus also stops at some destinations for refreshment and makes us feel better.

Awesome journey

Nov 29, 2015

Journey started from the New DELHI, Kashmiri Gate ISBT from the inter state bus terminal with the ordinary HRTC ordinary bus . Approx. 5:30 pm the journey started and the night view of the roads was really like it. The bus was moving at the speed of 100 KM/h. Really very fast was moving the bus.

On the 9:30 pm approx, the driver stop the bus for the dinner at the ordinary Dhaba in Haryana I think so the place I don't know where he stop it. But the food was hygienic their. Then in morning I reached my destination.

That was the journey of me. For the economical journey you guys must travel in ordinary buses.

Not a bad option

Oct 18, 2015

If you are looking to get to Chandigarh from IGI Airport, then the HRTC Volvo can be a good option. They are frequent, comfortable (as far as buses go) and are conveniently quick! Definitely better than a car if you want to avoid traveling from the airport to the railway station.

Preferred bus operator and safer option

Aug 25, 2015

Always prefer slow moving and local bus, specially Himachal Roadways, it is Government operated, they are the safest. If you go by local slow moving bus, you will not suffer from travel fatigue. Take non A/c, you can enjoy natural beauty, clean air and can take photo of beautiful mountains.
