Amazing experience in this hotel

Posted 13 Jan, 2016

Went to Ooty after 10 PM and ended up at Fernhill Palace and stayed in the Maharaja Suite. It was a truly awesome experience. The bathroom was huge with every facility. The only problem was hot water which took ages to reach. On asking the staff, I was informed that I ought to let the tap run for 10 - 15 minutes as the hot water takes time to reach the bathroom. This sounded like an awful waste of such a precious commodity. The vanity items were spot on and of a good quality. Hair-dryer was available in the bath. Night staff were very helpful and managed to get us some dinner though it was very late. The chicken tikkas are especially noteworthy. The interiors of the palace were truly awe-inspiring. I especially loved the old photographs of the Mysore King's family. Had a moment of history run through me. The inside is kinda dark and looked mysterious but that just added to the charm of being in a historical place. Come morning, I saw that there was another small room facing the sprawling grounds where we could sit and have chai. Buffet could have been of better quality. One grouse I had was that a bath towel was missing and they went through our luggages and car to look for it. Ha ha... As if after spending a bomb for a single night, we cannot afford our own towels. But I think there is some stealing going on there as we did not use the towels and 1 was missing. So, people need to be careful that they don't get blamed for missing items.

Amazing property & stay

Posted 6 Aug, 2015

I am acutely blessed with the accommodation provided by the Auberge during my 3 days stay. There is ambit for advance in auberge agents which is a accessory one. Aliment was accomplished and was customized to our need. Now the not so acceptable allotment of the trip. Unfortunately afore a day of my travel, incidentally I came to apperceive the bookings at the alcazar auberge accept been annulled due to a alliance getting organised and the aforementioned had been announced to cleartrip to be abreast to customer.. When I arrested the aforementioned with cleartrip, they were clueless and I had to accomplish about 10-15 calls to the alarm centre to seek support.. The aliment was accomplished, there was an acceptable advance of aliment for both breakfast and banquet (we were mostly out during lunch). Since, we had a brace of breed with us, we did not move too abundant out of the facility. There is affluence of allowance in the acreage to play about for kids. There is aswell some pony rides and alcazar ability bout that can be availed. We were advantageous to atom a humongous Bison airing appropriate accomplished our car abreast the driveway of the ability (all about is backwoods area), this was by itself an admirable experience. All in vain. Finally, I had to allocution to auberge anon and they took my request. Till now no one from cleartrip has alleged me to apologise for all the pains that me and ancestors had to abide till extensive the hotel.
