Wonderful experience

Mode of Transport: Taxi

Travelling from Somnath to Dwarka. A long drive in a peaceful bright road with ocean water on the way and greenery all over throughout the route. Cool breeze blowing and you were like dancing in the air with music playing. A wonderful experience. We stopped on the way to enjoy the nature, the water beach, the windmills and the fresh air.

Journey at parallel to sea

Dec 17, 2015
Mode of Transport: Car

After finishing journey of Dwaraka, we drove to Somnath by road. While on way we stayed at Harsiddh Temple, Harsidhh and took lunch at Porbandar. Then reached Somnath at night. The road wad worst for last 50 km. An average journey. The road is parallel to sea for some km which is nice looking. We stayed for some time and enjoyed and did some photography. However it is not safe to go in to sea at this beach.

Good roads so do travel by car

Dec 24, 2014
Mode of Transport: Taxi

It is good to travel by car during November/December period as most of migratory birds are in that part of India. You get to watch those rare bird if you are interested. Weather is enjoyable and road conditions are good one can enjoy ride next to sea shore in some parts of the journey. Sea shores are neat and no littering noticed. Overall great.
