A comfortable journey

Mar 28, 2016
Mode of Transport: Bus

After some unsuccessful attempts, visited Manali with my college friends. Honestly speaking, I hope I visited Manali at a good time because the trip has lot of variety feelings with friends at the time of winter. At first the office location was good. I was impressed with that.

Below are my day wise experiences.

Day 1:

The journey was comfortable. I went in a private travels bus. They took care of everything from boarding point to destination point. Its good experience travelling to kullu manali.

First we went to the hotel lodge. Freshened up and visited local sightseeing like some temples and some other places. Enjoyed sight seeing. Tired first day.

Day 2:

This day was interesting because we were going to Kullu Manali, got more interest and excited. Journey along the roadside was awesome. The roads are very curve. Sometimes I fear by seeing that huge curvy roads. At a particular stretch, we had to walk on foot for 500 mts as the road was full of sludge. Finally reached rohtang only to find to our horror that there was not even a bit of snow. They took Rs 300 each for the horse to go up the hill. That road was such a place we can't walk so we use horse and that to cold. We ate outside in hotels. It was not that good. There we enjoyed like anything. There was rope fly. This was amazing. Very crowdy place. This day was ended as it late evening. We went back to the hotel.

Day 3:

Again this day was also more interesting. And the place where we enjoyed throughout the tour was this. We had to a bit of journey to reach the falls, but the view was breath taking. Nature at its best. It was pleasing place. Everyone enjoyed the falls. The food provided at the dhaba on the foothills of the waterfall was good. They prepare roti, khadi, red rice, rajma masala. And they charge less. On the way to our returning we saw lot of green Apple Orchards and with many apples still hanging from the trees. This was pleasing and excited because we see the apple trees for the first time. We bought some apples as they were selling.

Thats how we enjoyed three days a lot. Every day was interesting more and more. Only the problem was charging. We have to charge in hotel itself. Bus has no charging points. Except this everything was fine.

So, I suggest you people to go this kind of place which gives you immense pleasure. And I suggest you to take care of your belongings and most is don't ever buy the things from the people who are standing and selling on footpath, they are duplicate items, so be careful and Wherever you go and buy anything, please bargain. It will reduce some of your expenses.
