It's a treat driving in this route if you start early

Jan 22, 2015
Mode of Transport: Taxi

If you start from Pune by early morning, you go through Mulshi, Tamhini Ghat and then towards the beach. The drive by itself is a nice experience. You can stop by in places and take a few photos. Bike riders will find most parts of this travel as a treat. In monsoon season, this road through Mulshi and Tamhini Ghat livens up as its lush and full of waterfalls and its any travellers paradise.

Bumpy road but good options to eat along the way

Apr 22, 2014
Mode of Transport: Taxi

One of the worst road trip I ever had. The road was in very bad shape. We took the road through Mulshi, but could not enjoy the beautiful sights on route, because of the bumpy road. Though I must accept, there are quite a few good eateries on the way, especially the authentic Punjabi Paradise cafe.

Enjoy your ride

we started from Pune around 11.00am. The road is good till you reach Mumbai-Goa highway. After that road is quite bad which takes a lot of time to reach Harihareshwar. There are very limited food outlets on the way. And don't forget to keep your car tank full. On the way you get only one petrol pump in Shrivardhana which is around 20 kms from Harihareshwar. Have a good journey!

Real bad experience

Jan 22, 2014
Mode of Transport: Bus

I will recommend not to travel by bus. Instead take your own vehicle. The local transportation is not so good and expensive too. The mobile coverage was bad too and no travel agent to guide us. It was a challenging situation for us and we found ourselves helpless sometimes in regards to transportation.

Good road trip and great view

Nov 27, 2013
Mode of Transport: Car

The route was via Hinjewadi and Mangaon. Good road trip and great view. You will cross Tamhini Chat which is full of waterfalls during rainy season but very dry otherwise. Its a great view either way. The will also cross the beautiful Mulshi lake on the way which is a good photo spot too.
