"Superb Highway with required facilities"

Jul 30, 2015
Mode of Transport: Car

We started off from Terminal-3 and took NH-8, the condition of the road is no doubts excellent for a 100 plus drive speed. It took us around 3 hours to reach our destination with a slight slow pace in Rewari area because of the industries and the frequent development in the area. The entire route if full of typical Highway resorts and desi Dhabas to sit and relax for sometime and have good food. Our journey was small but still we insisted to have something at the local Dhaba.

Peaceful serene and regal : A short journey of solace

Aug 22, 2014
Mode of Transport: Car

Early morning start, kept the traffic jams on Gurgaon-Manesar patch at bay, and my miscalculation (The old diversion has been closed and the new diversion is after the Jungle Babbler Hotel which I missed) of the Daruhera- Tijara- Alwar route led me to the NH-Behror-Alwar Route, blessing in disguise, though from Behror to Alwar its a single road without the divider, but not much of a traffic on it. The road is so scenic , it takes lofty turns, there are hills around the road, you can see forts on the mountains and loads of peacocks all the way and what adds to the experience is a tunnel along the way (reminds me of all the romance that could have happened there.lol). The roads are smooth but every time you cross a village on the road, there is a speed bump waiting for you, I would advise if you love to drive, then the halt should be at Alwar, itís no fun stopping at the eateries midway as there are not lot of options on this route. Toll is a bit more than the Tijara- Alwar route but I found this more scenic.

On reaching Alwar head to the collectorate which happens to be the erstwhile seat of the king of Alwar, the museum there was awesome (itís a long climb, not for the fainthearted) and the pond behind it is called the Sagar, beautiful place, and after seeing this you can simply climb down to the main bazaar where there are loads of option to savour the local food, there is a local ice-cream called Barf, that should not be missed. Enjoy the place, need more info, feel free to ask.

Great travelling in train

Apr 15, 2014
Mode of Transport: Train

Nice landscape of Aravali during the travel in train can be seen after Delhi, catch the train from New Delhi which is going to Ajmer, or else you can opt for double decor which goes to Jaipur on daily basis, it will take three to four hours from New Delhi. Shatabdi trains are known for their service as they provide good food. As I travelled in the morning I just got a chance to have breakfast in the train.
