Mussoorie to Haridwar

The distance between Haridwar and Mussoorie, is almost 100 km and it takes almost three hours of driving, to reach Mussoorie from Haridwar. Road was broken on the way

During july I travelled, weather was ok. On the way there was landslide so we had to change the bus after midway. Repair work on road was going on. Cooperative staff. We travelled by state government bus service. Went up to Dehradun by one bus then changed the bus from Dehradun for Haridwar.

Nice route

It was nice as one enjoys the route from Mussoorie to Haridwar. On the way you can see many things. As Haridwar is a religious place. Seeing Arti at Har Ki Pauri was very interesting. Haridwar is a nice place to visit on weekends as it is not too far from Mussoorie.

A cool car journey

We started around 3.30 pm from Haridwar to Mussoorie. The journey was beautiful except the roads as they were broken at many places. The scenic view made the overall journey very beautiful.

There are many restaurants/dhabas on this road. One can get refreshments or food as per the choice. Many Dhabas donít have clean and hygienic toilets but some of the big ones do have. The journey from Haridwar to Mussorie normally takes 3 to 4 hours depending on the traffic.

It is advisable to carry water bottle and some munchables to pass the journey effectively.

If you will take taxi it will take Rs 1200/- from Haridwar to Mussoorie; road is good and it will take 2-3 hours at least. During the journey you will enjoy because you will find very pleasant atmosphere and natural beauty around you. The scenes from the can will surely refresh your mind and body. There you can also take photos of all this natural scenes and locales.

Lotís of dhabas enroute

We started our journey from Haridwar at 6 am and I halt my car at many places between Dehradun and Mussoorie. Firstly on a dhaba where we took tea and biscuits afterwards at another dhaba we took Maggie and bread. We took lots of photographs of hill view with my little baby and purchased many carpets in between our journey.
