Road trip was good but lack of facilities on the way

Jul 2, 2015
Mode of Transport: Car

My Maruti Swift VDI is a lovely car which I could cruise comfortably at an average of 140-160km/hr. So our trip was not tedious. Only the toilets is various pertrol pumps onroute are not maintained as per standards. It stinks of cigarette/beedi smell when you enter the toilet. Suggest state-of-art toilets be constructed at all toll gates, with a mini department store. Since you have to stop at the toll gate, these facilities will help long distance drivers.

A good drive

Nov 7, 2015
Mode of Transport: Car

Once you enter the Tamil Nadu expressway in Mahendragiri then its a driving haven. Tools are expensive I think there are four to five tolls all with a charge of min. Rs 65 to Max 100. Be careful with the pedestrians crossing they won't even look for vehicles in the road, look out for the stupid truck drivers and racing intercity buses.

Nice road but very few petrol pumps

Sep 2, 2014
Mode of Transport: Car

Comfortable ride when I entered the express NH from Nagercoil. The journey from Trivandrum to Nagercoil is horrible. Very poor road from Parasala to Nagercoil but when we entered the express NH, I felt that am in flight. The road was that nice and on the way there are hotels to stay, but petrol pumps are very rare. Nice scenery, very comfort to ride.
