Our flight was scheduled to start at 10.00 AM to Madurai and reach Madurai at 12.00 noon. As we were preparing to leave the house at 8.00 AM, we got a message that the flight is delayed and would start at 12.20 pm. However, we reached the Airport at 11.00 am. When we checked-in, the staff told us that the flight is further delayed and would start at 1.15 pm. We took boarding pass, entered through Security check and waiting at our gate No. 25H.
The flight was further delayed and finally it took off at 14.30 pm and that too from a different gate. We were made to struggle at airport for more than three and a half hours. The spicejet authorities had no courtesy to offer even water.
On the board, all the services, food were on sale and not complimentary. They have not bothered about the delay in flight. We landed at Madurai at 16.15 hours.
The only plus point is that the Boarding process was hassle-free.
This is a weekly train. Even 2nd AC compartment is not clean. Toilets are untidy. Maintenance poor. In August Madurai city weather is good not so hot as I expected. As I am from Hyderabad no problem for food. All type of food available. The temples in Madurai are very nice and really worth visiting.
