Ghat section roads to be planned

Jan 4, 2016
Mode of Transport: Car

If you stay in south goa, the usual route happens to be via the anmod ghat section, which happens to be perpetually in a bad condition. So we make a small detour and take the turn towards bhagwan sanctuary and then onto honda to chorla ghats. The road to belgaum is pretty good and fast from there on. So any time lost would be easy to make up.

No punctuality

Mode of Transport: Bus

Horrible driver. The ticket collector has no manners. Left late, reached late and had a breakdown on the way. Overall, the entire journey was horrible. The people were calm and casual. I guess this would be a routine. The government must change the buses, as they have been worn out. It's out of condition.

You can view Dudhsagar Falls on the way

Jul 9, 2014
Mode of Transport: Train

Wonderful place to be at is Belgaum. That too the train is at the best and convenient timings, especially at our boarding station and the distance travel just turns out to be of 4 hrs. Train facilities are also good. The only major concern is the food in the train, because food is not up to the mark. Rest assured you can also witness Dudhsagar Waterfalls by the way from train which is not visible if the travel is through bus.

Comfortable and relaxing drive

Mode of Transport: Car

I travelled to Belgaum using the Dandeli route. It would be very nice if you can choose early morning for your travel because it would be cool, calm and amazing. We travelled in my own car so it took about 4 hours to reach Belgaum; it is not at all a tiresome journey. rnrnI enjoyed my journey with my wife and children as it was comfortable and relaxing. The roads were good and helped me a lot. There were no potholes so we could enjoy a smooth drive! Wife and kids had a good time indeed! There are amazing scenes to be seen while travelling to Belgaum; there is one stream flowing and looks very beautiful.

Chorla route road is really good

Aug 10, 2014
Mode of Transport: Car

Well if you travel by car then you have three routes from Belgaum, one is by Amboli, other by Chorla Ghat and finally by Khanapur. If you want to explore jungle and sunset and resorts then you should take up the road by Chorla as we took. The road is really good. We even took many snaps while going some are Jamboti, Chorla Ghat, etc. Had been with friends and it was very good. But only thing is you should take the puncture kit and air compressor with you because if your car tire is punctured then it'll be difficult for you to find a garage as its ghat roads. But if you want to explore jungle and ghat, road by Chorla Ghat is really good.
