A neat and clean train

Apr 21, 2016
Mode of Transport: Train

The train was neat and clean, food was quite good, staff and tt was also good in behaviour. The time taken by shatabdi should be less as it is a straight line from Delhi to Ambala simultaneously to g.t. road. The Shatabdi train is losing its charm due to not changing its speed/timing which is possible as I have seen.

A comfortable journey

Jan 24, 2016
Mode of Transport: Bus

There are many Government and private buses run between Delhi and Shimla at 9:00 - 9:30 pm. We choose Swagatam Holidays bus, it is private volvo and A/C bus. AC buses are good for a comfortable winter and night journey. The ticket was about 900 rupees. It was pleasant and calm night journey. Bus staff was very good and the bus overall was clean and good spacious. Seats were comfortable and large. The A/C temperature was comfortable. Bus had television and music system for entertainment. We had nice sleep in the night. We reached Shimla in the early morning around 6:00 am.

Recommended by me for a pleasant comfortable journey!

Good road from Delhi to Haryana stretch.Later the Ghat section begins and the speed slows down. Start in the earlier Half of the day so as to reach well in time at Shimla The entire stretch is dotted with Dhabas and good hotels. Had good lunch at Zilmil Dhaba. A wonderful journey

Nov 15, 2015
Mode of Transport: Car

It was a wonderful journey. A delightful outing for the family of 4.

Taken short breaks for tea/coffee and yummy breakfast/supper. Delhi chandigarh highway is very good.

Reached fagu about 59 kms from capital shimla ( though within district shimla), a good place to stay and peaceful outing.

Worth seeing "potato research center" at top of the hill a 2 kms journey by foot, a tracking delight.

Overall a good stay.
