Family Trip

Mode of Transport: Bus

Took Garuda Bus from Chennai bus stand. Bus was around 20 mins late. Not that much crowded. Gave one 500 ml water bottle free. Seat was Multi axle. Road was awesome just like butter. But they put only telegu movies on tv with a loud volume. Requested them to off. After many passengers requested for switching off, they turned off the tv. One break during the journey. Place was good.

A very tiring journey

Apr 28, 2016
Mode of Transport: Car

We hired a Zoom Car (Maruti Ciaz) and drove from Chennai to Tirupati. The road upto Tirupati is quite good. (Broad and two lanes at least). Not many restaurants or hotels on the road (So plan your toilet pitstops accordingly).

The road from Tirupati to the Tirumala mountain has a lot of traffic and takes time to travel (Since it is a mountain region).

Tirupati is a very crowded place so we had booked a special darshan for Rs. 300. Still we had to stand in queue for more than 3 hours.

The whole trip took one full day (Started in the morning and reached back at night).

The trip was worthwhile for the spiritual belief that people hold for the temple, otherwise its a very tiring journey.

I had my first travel by my own car. While going from Chennai we took the route of Tada and while return we took Thiruthani route.

I would rate 4/5 for tada route and 3.75/5 for thiruthani route.

Very nice journey. We started around 7 AM in the morning and we reached kalahasti by around 9.45 Am. We started from Kalahasti by 11:00 and reached tirupati by 12:30. We took a normal speed drive. The route was very neat.
