It's a very nice experience to take your own time and travel from Chennai to Tirupati by road. We were at ease because we did not want to hurry and wanted to leisurely travel with the family. It took close to 4.5 hours for us from Chennai to Tirupati. We took two breaks on the ways to relax ourselves and have snacks and food as well. Overall it was quite comfortable journey.

Mostly private dealers like Red Bus, Parveen Travels are good as per my opinion. They give really neat service for AC, non-AC and sleeper coaches and I mostly travel in sleeper coaches. The roads from Chennai to Tirupathi is really clear and smooth. Also the bus has television and the seats are fully cushion and semi sleeper seats, which is enough nice to sit and sleep and watch over windows. If you are travelling by bus, keep in mind that, buy some water bottles, chips or snacks items and have ...Read More

"Everyone should start using the RTC buses instead of relying on private travels"

The maintenance of the bus was good, I would want to thank and congratulate Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation(APSRTC) for this. I don\'t think there is something that they can improve. Online ticket booking option, response at the RTC counter were good. Throughout the journey, driver was so cautious, everyone should start using the RTC buses instead of relying on private travels. Also RTC should start more number of bus services in busy routes to help public.

I travelled from Chennai to Tirupathi last month through the Garuda Transport. I booked the bus ticket via online. As it was an AC bus, so I felt very comfortable during my journey. They gave blanket too coz of night journey. There was TV also. I reached the destiny before half an hour. Then I started walking to the temple through the steps. It took more than 3 hours to reach the temple. It was raining and it was awesome. At last I saw God Venkatachala then I returned home.
