Good Travel Via Dehradun Paonta Sahib Road

Jul 11, 2015
Mode of Transport: Car

It was twin experience to travel to Dehradun from Chandigarh. The Route to Dehradun was through Sahranpur which was quite a longer as compared to our return travel from Dehradun to Chandigarh via Paonta Sahib - Nahan Road. Additionally road on second rout was far much better than first one. The Only disadvantage in travelling through second route was that you cant travel in night on account of security and resting issues. the route doesn't have much of the resting places and with not much residential cover in between, one has to be careful enough travelling through both the routes.

A good journey

Mode of Transport: Bus

Recently I visited Chandigarh for my vacation tour. Basically I am from Dehradun (Uttarakhand). I went I. S. B. T to catch the Chandigarh transportation bus. I choose CTU (Chandigarh transportation undertaking) bus on 11.00 AM. I choose a Non-AC bus.

The timing of a Bus was 11.00 pm. I was visiting alone but I did not face any type of problem during the travelling. I felt very comfortable and did not feel any problem. The best thing during the journey was that there were enough rest stops during the journey. Our rest stop was NARAYANGARH that is far from 3 hours from chandigarh.

The bus takes 30 minutes for rest after that we started our journey. The seats of the bus was really too much comfortable and in the great condition. Actually my travelling was not for night stay so I did not need any type of blanket, pillows and food. I found charging points in the bus that was very happy moment of my journey. In 3.30 pm, I have reached in my destination that was chandigarh.

According to me everybody should keep in their mind before travelling, we should take care of our luggage and our electronics items as well. Because you can't not believe any one during the travelling. We should carry all necessary things in our journey. And keep yourself safe.

Beautiful hilly roads

Mode of Transport: Car

It was a great experience as this was a family trip. We travelled from Dehradun to Chandigarh via Paunta (Himachal Pradesh) which was indeed a great experience and beautiful sight of the journey as Himachal consist of beautiful hilly roads and trees all around.

The crossing of Himachal and entering into Haryana and watching the borders and toll was nice. It was indeed a great experience and even phone network was also confused which state network it should capture Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh or Himachal.
