Poor train timing

Jul 22, 2016
Mode of Transport: Train

I thought it is a train with convenient timing to travel to Tiruppur. It comes to Bangalore city by 9:40 pm and reaches around 5:30 am at Tiruppur. But the train was late by 2 hours. It went on increasing and finally to arrive at Platform 2 at 1 am. I went to platform 2. There were no TVs announcing the time. There was no sign of the train even after 1 am. It was cold and surface winds were too rash.
Luckily the WiFi was fast. I could track the train which arrived at 1:40 am.
So major part of my sleep is lost. I had to brush and have breakfast in the train itself instead of my plan at Tiruppur hotel.

Nice journey

Mode of Transport: Train

This train is a day train. Very convenient to get in after lunch and be at Bangalore for dinner.
I booked for a window seat. It was very scenic route. After Erode junction, it river Cauvery I see on both sides, The bridge pass was lovely.
After Salem nearing Dharmapuri, the train goes slowly. Near Muthampatti. The mountain range if different. One can see the mountains arranged like one in between two mountains for a long distance. The trees may not be very tall - but they were still green carpet covering,
At a particular village when the train stops, the villagers get into each reserved compartment with their fresh produce of vegetables, fruits and flowers. It is a nice passtime in the train.
