I am a regular visitor to Hill Country Kodai and have been visiting this resort ever since it was launched. I have seen the resort develop over the years and now it is for me - the best resort in Kodai. Away from the hustle and bustle of the town, this resort is located on the slope of a hill. What sets this resort apart is the picturesque landscaping and acres of lawn to stroll and relax. I have always stayed in the cottages and they are ideal for a family. 2 bedrooms, with one attached and one common bathroom, 2 single sofa cum beds, geyser in each of the bathrooms, a fridge, TV with sufficient channels are standard. This is perfect for a family of four. The food is good but a touch expensive. Breakfast buffet spread is limited. They do have a bar that has limited stock of liquor. You can order room service or you can visit the bar or the restaurant. If you want to have a great time with your family then this is the place. Many indoor and outdoor activities are available, such as air hockey, billiards table, pool table, karaoke, library, carrom, bonfire, etc.
Kodaikanal is in Tamilnadu. It is an hill station. the best whether to visit is in November - January. We went in the month of December. It is one of happening place for couples. We booked a room in Hill country Resort. It was one of the best resort in that place. It was little far from city but resort people provide vehicle for sites-sing. We booked Deluxe room. Room was very clean and all things were properly kept at their respective places. Surrounding of resort was awesome it was covered with mountain on all side it was giving me a feeling that I am staying in heaven. The view from our room was marvelous. Staff of resort was co-operative. Service of resort was one of the best. Food was awesome. Me being Punjabi guy and found of Non-veg food items. Resort served one of the best Non-veg food. When ever any one plan for kodaikanal do stay at Hill Country resort.
I, my wife and our 5 year old grandson had a beautiful vacation at Hill Country Holiday Resorts in mid of March,2011.The resort is a bit away from the main city but the natural surrounding and the overall beauty is excellent. There are gardens where children and adults also can enjoy. There are several indoor games too.My grandson thoroughly enjoyed playing with other children staying in the resort at the garden as well as indoor games. We only went to the city mainly for boating and eating out. rest of the time we enjoyed the pleasant surrounding of the resort. it was a beautiful and fully enjoyed vacation.
We were cheerful that we picked our stay with Hill Country-Kodai on our late visit to Kodaikanal. From sprawling scenes to manicured yards, moving knolls to rich topiaries, Hill Country - Kodai offers a stunning landscape. Very much kept up and stunning scene adds more to unraveling an unrivaled perspective of the slope station. Set on the lifted decks are overhangs which give us a dynamite perspective of the whole resort. The group at Hill Country as guaranteed figured out how to give us an agreeable and palatable stay, this time also. The eatery offered incredible sustenance and beguiling vibe. The staff merit an uncommon notice for their respectable and expectant help. We might want to thank everybody, right from Mrs Kalpana of the reservations group who co-ordinated in advance in regards to our schedule, to the front work area staff who helped us with the unforeseen a minute ago Room retractions. We had such a glorious time, to the point that we have officially prescribed it to our companions and relatives.
This was our second successive time at this resort. The location and setting of this resort makes it ideal for relaxation. Its far from the main city and you have to drive down a good 50 feet as it is nestled in a valley. The view from the rooms of the Palani Hills in front is breathtaking. Room is clean and has all basic amenities. It could be considered a little small for a family when you need an extra bed. The resort does not have a pool - something you do not normally miss given the chill. There is an authentic ayurvedic spa in the resort along with doctors. Plenty of indoor games, some regular outdoor games and children's play area make is quite engaging. Staff are courteous, eager to help and well informed by and large - though for lower level staff English language becomes an issue at times. WiFi and mobile signals are poor in the resort and only comes in certain areas. So if you need to stay connected - avoid this place or carry sim cards of providers which work in the resort. Food is okie - has improved from the last visit. There is a new resort that has come up nearby (GRT nature trails) where you might like to try the food. Since its far from the city, you will have to have dinner here apart from the breakfast - so make sure you eat at a nice place at lunch to ensure variety! In my next visit, I would book in advance to ensure I dont miss out on the hill view rooms and also carry a sim/data card of a provider that works in the resort. Also do not take packed lunches on the day of departure - they take advantage and charge you a bomb!!
